Based on the novel by Erik Larson, the series will tell the story of Daniel H. Burnham (Reeves), a demanding but visionary architect who races to make his mark on history with the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, and Dr. H.H. Holmes, America's first modern serial killer and the man behind the notorious "Murder Castle" built in the Fair's shadow.
Sam Shaw developed the series, with Todd Field set to direct. They will executive produce with Reeves, Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Jennifer Davisson, Stacey Sher and Mark Lafferty. ABC Signature, Paramount Television Studios and Appian Way Productions will produce.
