Amazon Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'The Peripheral' Starring Chloë Grace Moretz

Amazon has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series The Peripheral starring Chloë Grace Moretz.

The 8-episode first season will premiere on Friday, October 21 with its first episode. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on December 9.

The drama centers on Flynne Fisher (Moretz), a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow's America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future; until the future comes calling for her. The drama is a dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind - and what lies beyond.

In addition to Moretz, the drama stars Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T'Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings, Adelind Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy and Austin Rising.

Scott B. Smith developed the drama based on the novel by William Gibson. They executive produce with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Steven Hoban, Greg Plageman and director Vincenzo Natali. Amazon Studios, Warner Bros. Television and Kilter Films produce.
