ABC's The Goldbergs; AMC's Straight Man; AppleTV+'s Chief of War; Hulu's La Máquina; NBC's Young Rock; and Paramount+'s Lioness.





HULU's LA MÁQUINA
  • Lucía Méndez, Jorge Perugorría, Karina Gidi, Raul Briones and Luis Gnecco have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna. Méndez starred in the Spanish telenovelas Vanessa, Marielena and Señora Tentación. Perugorría starred in the Netflix limited series Four Seasons in Havana. Gidi starred for two seasons in Amazon's A Strange Enemy. Briones recurred on Netflix's Club de Cuervos. Gnecco guest starred on Netflix's Narcos and HBO's Los Espookys.
  • Méndez will play Josefina, a woman from humble means but has pushed her way into upper class society. She smothers her son, Andy (Luna), constantly commenting on everything from his appearance to his business decisions.
  • Perugorría will play Sixto, an old school figure from the world of Cuban boxing. He is Esteban's (Bernal) long-time trainer, serving as a father figure and mentor to both Andy and Esteban.
  • Gidi will recur as Carlota, who was born into a wealthy Mexican family and is married to Andy.
  • Briones will recur as Juan Carlos, a grizzled police officer who navigates both sides of the law.
  • Gnecco will recur as Facundo, an old-school journalist in a new-school world.
ABC's THE GOLDBERGS
  • Isabella Gomez has landed a recurring role on the comedy's tenth season. She previously starred for four seasons in Netflix/Pop's One Day at a Time and in HBO Max's one-season comedy Head of the Class.
  • She will play Carmen, the new waitress at the 50s-themed diner where Adam (Sean Giambrone) is working at.
PARAMOUNT+'s LIONESS
  • Sam Asghari, Carla Mansour, Adam Budron and Martin Donovan have booked recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira. Asghari previously recurred on Showtime's Black Monday. Mansour recently guest starred on Hulu's Reasonable Doubt. Budron guest starred on NBC's The Blacklist. Donovan recurred on The CW's Legends of Tomorrow and HBO's Big Little Lies.
  • Asghari will play Kamal, Ehsan's brother, an inveterate and unapologetic womanizer.
  • Mansour will play Malika, one of Kamal's many ex's.
  • Budron will play Sami, part of a coterie of wealthy friends.
  • Donovan will play Errol Meade, Kaitlyn's husband, who is a smart financial wheeler dealer.
APPLE TV+'s CHIEF OF WAR
  • Luciane Buchanan has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming limited series starring Jason Momoa and Temuera Morrison. She previously guest starred on AppleTV+'s Mr. Corman and Netflix's Sweet Tooth. She will next star in Netflix's upcoming drama The Night Agent.
  • She will play Ka'ahumanu, who is intelligent and progressive in thought. She is curious about the larger world beyond her home islands.
AMC's STRAIGHT MAN
  • Alvina August is set for a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Bob Odenkirk and Mireille Enos. She previously starred in the first season of The CW's Nancy Drew. She will next star in FOX's upcoming comedy Animal Control.
  • She will play June Washington-Chen, an English professor who is temperate and careful. She is as savvy and individually minded as her husband, English professor Teddy Washington-Chen (Arthur Keng).
NBC's YOUNG ROCK
  • Dawnn Lewis will appear in a recurring role on the comedy's third season. She currently stars in Paramount+'s Star Trek: Lower Decks, which has been renewed for a fourth season. She previously starred for five seasons in NBC's A Different World and in the fourth season of Veronica Mars on Hulu. 
  • She will play Prime Minister Angela Honig, the newly elected leader of coffee-rich Gjelghiughm in the 2033 timeline. She is a strong leader and tough negotiator, though her longtime love of professional wrestling might be the key to finding common ground in an ongoing diplomatic crisis.
