HBO Cancels 'Westworld' After 4 Seasons

In a surprising development, HBO has today announced the cancellation of its original drama series Westworld after four seasons. The drama wrapped its 36-episode run on August 14, 2022.






HBO released the following statement: "Over the past four seasons, Lisa and Jonah have taken viewers on a mind-bending odyssey, raising the bar at every step. We are tremendously grateful to them, along with their immensely talented cast, producers and crew, and all of our partners at Kilter Films, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television. It's been a thrill to join them on this journey.

The drama starred Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Aaron Paul, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth, James Marsden and Ed Harris.

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy created the drama. They executive produced with J.J. Abrams, Alison Schapker, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, Denise Thé and Ben Stephenson. Warner Bros. Television, Bad Robot Productions and Kilter Films produced.
