HBO Sets Premiere Date for New Drama 'The Last of Us' Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey

HBO has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series The Last of Us starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.







The 9-episode first season will launch on Sunday, January 15 at 9/8c.

The drama takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Hardened survivor Joel (Pascal) is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

In addition to Pascal and Ramsey, the drama stars Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Melanie Lynskey, Storm Reid, Merle Dandridge, Jeffrey Pierce, Lamar Johnson, Keivonn Woodard, Graham Greene, Elaine Miles, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker.

Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann developed the drama based on the video game of the same name. They executive produce with Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Rose Lam. Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog produce.
