Casting News - Jake Weber to Guest Star on 'NCIS: Hawai'i'; Molly Ringwald Joins 'Single Drunk Female'; Plus 1 More Update!

Casting News - December 19, 2022

Amazon's Cross; CBS' NCIS: Hawai'i; and Freeform's Single Drunk Female.

CBS' NCIS: HAWAI'I
  • Jake Weber will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's second season. He previously starred for seven seasons in NBC/CBS' Medium, one season in AMC's Hell on Wheels and two seasons in Showtime's Homeland.
  • He will play Jim Carter, a former NCIS agent who is now head of security at a university. He prides himself on being a "good cop," but he's also gruff, arrogant and openly despises authority - traits that led to his downfall at NCIS after Jane (Vanessa Lachey) took over as SAIC.
FREEFORM's SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE
  • Molly Ringwald has been cast in a guest role on the comedy's upcoming second season. She previously starred in the films Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. She recently starred in the first season of Netflix's Monster and currently recurs on The CW's Riverdale.
  • She will play Alice, Carol's (Ally Sheedy), wry, witty, "perfect" sister-in-law and Sam's (Sofia Black-D'Elia) favorite aunt. Alice always does things slightly better than Carol, just enough to get under her skin.
AMAZON's CROSS
  • Siobhan Murphy has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Aldis Hodge. She previously starred in Netflix's one-season comedy Merry Happy Whatever. She also recurred on Freeform's The Bold Type, CBC's Heartland, Nickelodeon's Danger Force and CBC's Murdoch Mysteries.
  • She will play Tania Hightower, a driven, unstoppable journalist who works as a news reporter for the Post. Her beat includes all of Washington D.C., but her passion, loyalty and interest lies less in the political class and more in the often overlooked population of our nation's capital.
