FX Reveals Premiere Date for 'The Full Monty' Follow-Up Series

FX has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series The Full Monty - a follow-up series to the 1997 film of the same name.

All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Wednesday, June 14 exclusively under FX's banner on Hulu.

Taking place 25 years after the original British smash hit, the series follows the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and society's crumbling healthcare, education and employment sectors. The comedy-drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes - still residing in Sheffield - has changed in the intervening decades.

Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snap and Tom Wilkinson will reprise their roles.

New cast additions include Talitha Wing, Paul Clayton, Miles Jupp, Sophie Stanton, Phillip Rhys Chaudhary, Dominic Sharkey, Natalie Davies, Arnold Oceng, Aiden Cook and Tupele Dorgu.

The film's screenwriter Simon Beaufoy returns, serving as co-showrunner alongside Alice Nutter. They executive produce with Uberto Pasolini, Simon Lewis and Lee Mason. FX Productions and Searchlight Television produce.
