Hulu Renews 'Nine Perfect Strangers' for Season 2

After originally starting as a limited series, Hulu has today renewed its original series Nine Perfect Strangers for a second season. Academy Award- and Emmy-winning actress Nicole Kidman will once again star in and executive produce the drama.

The second season will follow the same formula of the first in a new location - the Swiss Alps. Nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living with a 10-day stay at a boutique wellness resort run by Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine "perfect" strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

Liv Ullmann, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Aras Aydin are set to star opposite Kidman, with more casting to be announced later.

David E. Kelly developed the drama based on the novel by Liane Moriarty. Kelley served as co-showrunner on the first season alongside John Henry Butterworth and Samantha Strauss. Current executive producers for the second season include Kelley, Kidman, Moriarty and Bruna Papandrea. Fifth Season, Made Up Stories, Blossom Films and David E. Kelley Productions produce.

The 8-episode first season aired on the streaming service from August 18, 2021 to September 22, 2021.
