Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Live-Action Adaptation of 'One Piece'

During today's Tudum event in São Paulo, Brazil, Netflix announced the premiere date for its upcoming live-action adaptation of the hit manga series One Piece.






All 10 episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, August 31.

The series follows the other-worldly adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they explore exotic islands and endless oceans in search for the ultimate treasure "One Piece" to become the next Pirate King.

The drama stars Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, McKinley Belcher III, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, Craig Fairbrass, Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Chioma Umeala and Steven Ward.

Steven Maeda and Matt Owens developed the adaptation. They executive produce with Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements. Tomorrow Studios produces in association with Netflix and Shueisha.
