Disney+ Cancels 'Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.' After Two Seasons

Disney+ has today decided to cancel its original comedy series Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. after two seasons. The comedy wrapped its 20-episode run on March 31, 2023.






The comedy starred Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Emma Meisel, Matt Sato, Wes Tian, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Mapuana Makia, Kathleen Rose Perkins and Jason Scott Lee.

Kourtney Kang developed the comedy. She executive produced with Melvin Mar, Jake Kasdan, Dayna Bochco, Jesse Bochco, Erin O'Malley, Matt Kuhn and Justin McEwen. 20th Television, The Detective Agency, Kang-Rosenblatt Productions and Steven Bochco Productions produced.

The comedy was a reboot of the ABC comedy Doogie Howser, M.D., which ran for four seasons from 1989 to 1993. Created by Steven Bochco and David E. Kelley, the comedy starred a young Neil Patrick Harris.
