Max Unveils Premiere Date for Season 2 of 'Julia'

Max has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original dramedy series Julia.







The 8-episode second season will launch on Thursday, November 16 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Thursday until the season finale on December 21.

In the new season, Julia Child grapples with her rising fame and celebrity. After spending some much needed time in France while preparing for her second season of The French Chef, Julia visits a wide variety of renowned restaurants and chefs across both the South of France and the U.S. in Washington, D.C. and of course, Boston. Social issues prevalent in today's social landscape are mirrored in Julia's journey as she and her team spearhead female-driven public television.

The series stars Sarah Lancashire, David Hyde Pierce, Bebe Neuwirth, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott and Robert Joy.

Recurring guest stars in the second season include Judith Light, Isabella Rossellini, Tosin Morohunfola, Christian Clemenson, Rachel Bloom, Craig Bierko and Stockard Channing. 

Daniel Goldfarb created the series. He executive produces with Christopher Keyser. Lionsgate Television, Modern O Productions, Mad Ben Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.
