Max Delays Return for Season 2 of 'Rap Sh!t'

Max has today announced a new premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original comedy series Rap Sh!t.







The 8-episode second season will now launch on Thursday, November 9 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then debut weekly every Thursday until the season finale on December 21. The second season was originally set to begin on August 10 but has been delayed in the hopes the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes resolve in time for the talent involved to promote the second season.

Two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna and Mia, reunite to form a rap group. In their rise to fame, Shawna and Mia find themselves at a pivotal moment in their rap career as they are forced to decide if they will stay true to themselves or conform to the demands of the music industry.

The comedy stars Aida Osman, KaMillion, Jonica Booth, RJ Cyler and Daniel Augustin.

Issa Rae created the comedy, with Syreeta Singleton serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Montrel McKay, Jonathan Berry, Dave Becky and Jim Kleverweis. Hoorae Media, District 8 Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.
