AppleTV+ Sets Premiere Date for New Drama 'The Buccaneers' Starring Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe and Josie Totah

AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series The Buccaneers inspired by the unfinished final novel by Edith Wharton.

The 8-episode first season will launch on Wednesday, November 8 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Wednesday until the season finale on December 13.

Girls with money, men with power. New money, old secrets. A group of fun-loving young American girls explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition. Sent to secure husbands and titles, the buccaneers' hearts are set on much more than that, and saying "I do" is just the beginning...

The drama stars Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, Christina Hendricks, Josh Dylan, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome and Barney Fishwick.

Katherine Jakeways created the drama. She executive produces with Beth Willis and director Susanna White. The Forge Entertainment produces.
