Sheryl J. Anderson developed the drama based on the novels by Sherryl Woods. Anderson and Woods executive produce with Dan Paulson. Anderson will return as showrunner for the fourth season. Daniel L. Paulson Productions produces in association with Netflix.
The 10-episode third season was released on July 20, 2023. Production on the fourth season will commence once a new contract is agreed to between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP.
