AMC Cancels 'Lucky Hank' After One Season

AMC has today decided to cancel its original dramedy series Lucky Hank after one season. The series concluded its 8-episode run on May 7, 2023.

The series starred Bob Odenkirk, Mireille Enos, Olivia Scott Welch, Diedrich Bader, Sara Amini, Cedric Yarbrough and Suzanne Cryer.

Aaron Zelman and Paul Lieberstein developed the drama based on the novel "Straight Man" by Richard Russo. All three executive produced with Odenkirk, Mark Johnson, Naomi Odenkirk, Marc Provissiero and director Peter Farrelly. Sony Pictures Television, TriStar Television and Gran Via Productions produced.

The network released the following statement on the cancellation: "We're proud of Lucky Hank and thankful for the work of everyone who brought this unique, playful and deeply human show to viewers, from the talented creative team to our partners at Sony and, of course, Bob, Mireille and the entire cast and crew. Unfortunately, we are not able to proceed with a second season, but we are glad these eight episodes exist on AMC+ and will continue to find new fans - or be seen again by viewers who come back to spend more time with Hank, Lily and the entertaining cast of characters at Railton College."
