AppleTV+ Renews 'Hijack' for Season 2

AppleTV+ has today renewed its original drama series Hijack for a second season. An episode count and premiere date window were not immediately announced for the new episodes.

The drama's first season starred Idris Elba, Neil Maskell, Christine Adams, Eve Myles, Archie Panjabi, Max Beesley, Ben Miles, Hattie Morahan, Neil Stuke, Kaisa Hammarlund, Zora Bishop, Jeremy Ang Jones, Kate Phillips, Jasper Britton, Jack McMullen, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Simon McBurney.

George Kay and Jim Field Smith created the drama. They executive produce with Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Tom Nash. Idiotlamp Productions and 60Forty Films produce.

"Global audiences were on tenterhooks watching Idris's riveting performance in Hijack, and we're thrilled to be working again with 60Forty and Idiotlamp on an equally compelling season two," said Jay Hunt, Creative Director for Europe, AppleTV+.

"I was floored by the overwhelming audience response after season one," added Elba. "It's top secret what new situation unfolds for Sam Nelson but I can assure you we will bring the high octane back!"
