Casting News - February 23, 2024

FOX's Animal Control; Hulu's Untitled Sterling K. Brown Drama; and Starz's The Hunting Wives.

STARZ's THE HUNTING WIVES
  • Dermot Mulroney and Evan Jonigkeit will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow. Mulroney recently starred for two seasons in Amazon's Hanna and in the Disney+ limited series Secret Invasion. Jonigkeit starred for two seasons in Starz's Sweetbitter and in Netflix's one-season drama Archive 81.
  • Mulroney will play Jed Banks, a fifth-generation oil man, alpha millionaire and the husband of trophy wife Margo (Akerman). Above all else, he's a ladies man who loves nothing more than bringing guest stars into their marital bed. Although he's considering a run for Texas Governor, he's determined not to let public service get in the way of their good time.
  • Jonigkeit will play Graham O'Neil, Sophie's (Snow) safe, solid, and somewhat clueless husband. He loves his wife but does not know how to handle her emotional baggage. He thinks the move to Texas will help Sophie, and he encourages her involvement with Margo - but he has no idea of the Pandora's Box it will open.
FOX's ANIMAL CONTROL
  • Thomas Lennon, Chelsea Frei and Larry Joe Campbell will guest star on the comedy's upcoming second season. Lennon previously starred for eight seasons in Comedy Central's Reno 911! and three seasons in CBS' The Odd Couple. Frei starred for two seasons in FOX's The Moodys. Campbell starred for eight seasons in ABC's According to Jim and recurred on FOX/Hulu's The Orville.
  • Lennon will play Patrick Shaw, Frank's (Joel McHale) older brother, who is an occasionally competent police officer who loves giving people a hard time, especially his brother.
  • Frei will play Isabelle, an intriguing free spirit who Shred (Michael Rowland) meets out in the field.
  • Campbell will play Carl, a seemingly innocuous co-worker at Animal Control who competes with Frank in the election for union representative.
HULU's UNTITLED STERLING K. BROWN DRAMA
