BET+ Releases Premiere Date for Dark Comedy 'Diarra From Detroit' Created by and Starring Diarra Kilpatrick

BET+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original dark comedy series Diarra From Detroit created by and starring Diarra Kilpatrick.







The 8-episode first season will launch on Thursday, March 21. New episodes will be released weekly.

A divorcing schoolteacher (Kilpatrick) refuses to believe she's been ghosted by her rebound Tinder date. Her search for the missing man pulls her into a decades-old mystery involving the Detroit underworld. As the case unfolds, her co-workers, friends, and lovers become unlikely allies as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole.

In addition to Kilpatrick, the series stars Morris Chestnut, Phylicia Rashad, DomiNque Perry, Claudia Logan, Bryan Terrell Clark, Shannon Wallace and Jon Chaffin.

Recurring guest stars include David Zayas, Harry Lennix, Paul Ben-Victor, Bechir Sylvain, Kash Doll, John Salley, Icewear Vezzo and Julio Macias.

Kilpatrick executive produces with Kenya Barris, Miles Orion Feldsott and Darren Golderg. Ester Lou and Mark Ganek serve as co-executive producers. BET Studios and Khalabo Ink Society produce.
