'Sonic the Hedgehog' Spinoff 'Knuckles' Starring Idris Elba and Adam Pally Receives Premiere Date on Paramount+

Paramount+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming event series Knuckles - a spinoff of the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise.







All six episodes of the series will be available on Friday, April 26.

The series follows Knuckles on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade Whipple as his protege and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.

Idris Elba and Adam Pally will star.

Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter and Colleen O'Shaughnessey will reprise their film roles as special guest stars in the series.

Additional guest stars include Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Julian Barratt, Rory McCann, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.

John Whittington and Toby Ascher created the series. They executive produce with Elba, Neal H. Moritz, Toru Nakahara and director Jeff Fowler. Paramount Pictures and SEGA of America produce.

The Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise has to date produced two feature films and grossed $725.2 million at the global box office. Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is currently slated to be released in theaters on December 20, 2024.
