Amazon's Renée Ballard; AppleTV+'s Foundation; CBS' NCIS: Origins; Disney+'s Goosebumps; and Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers.





AMAZON's RENEE BALLARD
  • Maggie Q will play the titular character in the upcoming Bosch spinoff inspired by the novels by Michael Connelly. She previously starred for four seasons in The CW's Nikita and three seasons in ABC/Netflix's Designated Survivor. She also starred in the Divergent film franchise.
  • She will play Detective Renée Ballard, who is tasked with running the LAPD's new cold case division - a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest case load in the city. She approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she'll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.
HULU's NINE PERFECT STRANGERS
  • Henry Golding, Mark Strong and Lena Olin have been cast as new series regulars on the drama's upcoming second season. Golding previously starred in the films Crazy Rich Asians, Last Christmas and Snake Eyes. Strong starred in the Kingsman film franchise and stars in Max's upcoming drama Dune: Prophecy. Olin starred in the second season of ABC's Alias and for two seasons in Amazon's Hunters.
  • Golding will play Peter. Strong will play David. Olin will play Helena.
APPLE TV+'s FOUNDATION
  • Cherry Jones, Pilou Asbæk, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Brandon P. Bell, Tómas Lemarquis, Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing and Leo Bill have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming third season. Jones has received five Emmy Award nominations - winning three times for FOX's 24, Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale and HBO's Succession. Asbæk previously recurred on HBO's Game of Thrones. Karlsen starred in the film Last Night in Soho. Fern starred for two seasons in FX's American Horror Story and in the sixth season of Netflix's House of Cards. Bell starred for four seasons in Netflix's Dear White People. Lemarquis starred in the film Driving Mum. Wong-Loi-Sing starred in the Dutch series Santos. Bill starred in Starz's one-season drama Becoming Elizabeth.
  • Jones will play Foundation Ambassador Quent. Asbæk will play Warlord. Karlsen will play Bayta Mallow. Fern will play Toran Mallow. Bell will play Han Pritcher. Lemarquis will play Magnifico Giganticus. Wong-Loi-Sing will play Song. Bill will play Mayor Indbur.
DISNEY+'s GOOSEBUMPS
  • Ana Ortiz, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, Elijah Cooper, Galilea La Salvia and Francesca Noel will co-star opposite David Schwimmer in the upcoming second installment of the anthology series. Ortiz previously starred for four seasons in ABC's Ugly Betty, four seasons in Lifetime's Devious Maids and three seasons in Hulu's Love, Victor. McCarthy starred for three seasons in Netflix's Dead to Me. Bartels starred for two seasons in Nickelodeon's Side Hustle. Cooper starred in the second season of Nickelodeon's That Girl Lay Lay. La Salvia guest starred on NBC's Chicago Med and Starz's Party Down. Noel starred in the short film Sabor.
  • Ortiz will play Jen, a dedicated police detective who remains rooted in her Brooklyn neighborhood after experiencing a tragic event that involved her friends in adolescence.
  • McCarthy and Bartels will play fraternal twins Devin and Cece.
  • Cooper will play CJ. La Salvia will play Frankie. Noel will play Alex.
CBS' NCIS: ORIGINS
  • Kyle Schmid is set as a series regular on the upcoming NCIS prequel starring Austin Stowell and Mariel Molino. He previously starred for two seasons in BBC America's Cooper and two seasons in History's Six. He also recurred on Syfy's Being Human and ABC's Big Sky.
  • He will play Special Agent Mike Franks, a proud Texan who all but showers in his cowboy boots and sports a perfectly coiffed mustache that's as thick as his skin. He is a born leader with an unwavering moral compass who's determined to find justice by any means necessary. In the original series, the character has been played by Muse Watson on a recurring basis.
