ABC's THE ROOKIE
- Deric Augustine has been promoted to series regular on the drama's upcoming eighth season. He joined the drama as a recurring guest star during its seventh season - appearing in 12 episodes to date.
- He plays Miles Penn, one of the newest rookies at the LAPD. As a Texas transfer, he is a "rookie" despite being a two-year veteran of the force.
CBS' SHERIFF COUNTRY
- Christopher Gorham and Michele Weaver have joined the cast of the upcoming Fire Country spinoff starring Morena Baccarin. Gorham previously starred for five seasons in USA's Covert Affairs and two seasons in Netflix's Insatiable. Weaver starred in OWN's one-season drama Love Is and in NBC's one-season drama Council of Dads.
- Gorham will play Travis, a lawyer and Sheriff Mickey Fox's (Baccarin) ex-husband. Together, they have a daughter, Skye, whom they've helped through addiction struggles. Despite their many differences, Travis and Mickey might still harbor feelings for each other.
- Weaver will play Cassidy, a deputy in the Edgewater County Sheriff's Office who was inspired by Mickey to join law enforcement. She places Mickey on a pedestal but must now figure out what kind of deputy she wants to be.
HULU's UNTITLED MURDAUGH MURDERS SERIES
- Madeline Popovich, Jessi Case, Jim O'Heir, Mark Pellegrino, Nicholas Cirillo, Patch Darragh and Ryan Paynter have booked recurring roles on the upcoming limited series starring Patricia Arquette and Jason Clarke. Popovich appeared in the films The Christmas High Note and One Summer. Case previously recurred on FOX's 9-1-1: Lone Star. O'Heir starred for seven seasons in NBC's Parks and Recreation. Pellegrino starred for three seasons in The CW's Supernatural and in the fourth season of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why. Cirillo recurred on Netflix's Outer Banks and Disney+'s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Darragh recurred on HBO's Succession and Peacock's Long Bright River. Paynter guest starred on Netflix's Stranger Things and Hulu's Dopesick.
- Popovich will play Mallory Beach, a bright, endearing young woman who is best friends with Paul's (Johnny Berchtold) girlfriend, Morgan.
- Case will play Morgan Doughty, Paul's long-term girlfriend who's grown all-too-accustomed to his drunken outbursts and antics.
- O'Heir will play Dick Harpootlian, a braggadocious, old-guard State Senator and defense attorney. He is hired by Alex (Clarke) to handle Paul's boat crash case.
- Pellegrino will play Curtis "Eddie" Smith, Alex Murdaugh's distant cousin and sometimes employee. He is country through-and-through, and helps Alex with various odd jobs and money-making schemes.
- Cirillo will play Connor Cook, one of Paul's best friends. He's quite used to Paul's drunken sense of play, and readily agrees to go out on Paul's boat with four other friends and girlfriends - a decision that leads to catastrophe.
- Darragh will play John Marvin Murdaugh, Alex's reliable and good-natured younger brother. He is always game to help the family in any way he can and is particularly close to his nephew, Paul, who he hires to work for him at his equipment rental business.
- Paynter will play Anthony Cook, a Southern jock with a heart of gold. He is one of Paul's best friends and Mallory's boyfriend.
