From June 12 to 23, 2025, voting is taking place for The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, it's fun to look at which actors and shows have the best chances of actually being nominated this year. So, these are my predictions for which programs will be nominated for Comedy Series.
Performers most likely to be nominated:
- Max's Hacks
- AppleTV+'s The Studio
- FX's The Bear
- ABC's Abbott Elementary
- Hulu's Only Murders in the Building
- AppleTV+'s Shrinking
- FX's What We Do in the Shadows
- Peacock's Poker Face
Serious threats that could break through:
- Netflix's Nobody Wants This
- Netflix's The Four Seasons
- Netflix's A Man on the Inside
- Disney+'s Agatha All Along
- Netflix's The Residence
- HBO's The Rehearsal
Some considerable long-shots:
- Netflix's Running Point
- Prime Video's Overcompensating
- Hulu's Mid-Century Modern
- FX's English Teacher
- HBO's Somebody Somewhere
- FX's Adults
- CBS' Ghosts
Colorful oddities that still have an outside chance:
- HBO's The Righteous Gemstones
- AppleTV+'s Bad Monkey
- NBC's St. Denis Medical
- Netflix's No Good Deed
- Paramount+'s Colin From Accounts
- CBS' Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage
- Netflix's Mo
