AppleTV+ Renews 'Slow Horses' for Season 7

AppleTV+ has renewed its original drama series Slow Horses for a seventh season. The renewal comes ahead of the drama's return for its fifth season in September 2025. The sixth season renewal occurred last year.

In season seven, Jackson Lamb and his Slow Horses are on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state.

The drama stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, Nick Mohammed and Jonathan Pryce.

Will Smith developed the drama based on the novels by Mick Herron. They executive produce with Oldman, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Dan Hassid, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux and Graham Yost. See-Saw Films produces.

The seventh season will be adapted for television by Ben Vanstone, with Robert McKillop set to direct.

"Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action," said Jay Hunt, Creative Director of Europe, AppleTV+. "I'm delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary's magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses' slightly inept spycraft."
