Casting News - Sope Dirisu to Play Lead Role in Netflix's 'All the Sinners Bleed'; Stephen Colbert to Guest Star on 'Elsbeth'

Casting News - August 4, 2025

CBS' Elsbeth and Netflix's All the Sinners Bleed.

NETFLIX's ALL THE SINNERS BLEED
  • Sope Dirisu will play the lead role in the upcoming drama developed by Joe Robert Cole. He previously starred for three seasons in Sky Atlantic's Gangs of London and in the third season of AppleTV+'s Slow Horses. He next stars in the upcoming Netflix limited series Black Rabbit.
  • He will play Titus Crown, the first Black sheriff of Charon County, Virginia. As he investigates a church shooting, he unearths terrible crimes and a serial killer who has been hiding in plain sight, haunting the dirt lanes and woodland clearings of Charon. With the killer's possible connections to a local church and the town's harrowing history weighing him, Titus projects confidence about closing the case while concealing a painful secret from his past. At the same time, he also has to contend with a far-right group that wants to hold a parade in celebration of the town's Confederate history.
CBS' ELSBETH
  • Stephen Colbert will guest star on the drama's upcoming third season. Since September 2015, he has hosted CBS' The Late Show. His casting comes after it was announced last month that the long-running late night series will be coming to an end in May 2026.
  • He will play the host of the fictitious late-night program Way Late with Scotty Bristol.
