Netflix Renews 'One Piece' for Season 3

During today's annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, Japan, Netflix renewed its original drama series One Piece for a third season. The early renewal comes ahead of the drama's second season return in 2026.






Production on the third season will begin in Cape Town, South Africa later this year.

The epic high-seas pirate adventure unleashes fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet in Season 2. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line - a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world's greatest treasure, they'll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.

The drama stars Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, Morgan Davies and Mikaela Hoover.

New recurring guest stars in the second season include Katey Sagal, Callum Kerr, Julia Rehwald, James Hiroyuki Liao, Rigo Sanchez, Clive Russell, Daniel Lasker, Charithra Chandran, Yonda Thomas, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, Lera Abova, Brendan Murray, Werner Coetser, David Dastmalchian, Sophia Anne Caruso, Rob Colletti, Mark Penwill, Anton David Jeftha, Ty Keogh, Mark Harelik, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Joe Manganiello.

Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes serve as co-showrunners on the second season. Furthermore, Matt Owens will join Tracz as co-showrunner on the third season. They executive produce with Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe and Steven Maeda. Tomorrow Studios produces.
