- Lucy Liu will star in and executive produce the upcoming drama created by Alice Ju. She previously starred for four seasons in FOX's Ally McBeal, seven seasons in CBS' Elementary, in the first season of Paramount+'s Why Women Kill, and in the Netflix limited series A Man in Full. She also starred in the Charlie's Angels, Kill Bill and Kung Fu Panda film franchises.
- The crime series follows a small-time Chinatown luxury counterfeit dealer (Liu) who enters a dangerous black-market underworld in order to fund a life of suburban respectability for her family.

- Robert Townsend, Ken Marino, Tommy Dewey, Richa Moorjani, Jake Picking, Blake Anderson, Duby Maduegbunam and Aliyah Turner have booked recurring roles on the comedy's upcoming second season. Townsend previously recurred on The CW's Black Lightning and FX's The Bear. Marino starred for three seasons in HBO Max's The Other Two and in Netflix's one-season dramedy The Residence. Dewey starred for four seasons in Hulu's Casual. Moorjani starred for four seasons in Netflix's Never Have I Ever and in the fifth season of FX's Fargo. Picking starred in the Netflix limited series Hollywood. Anderson starred for seven seasons in Comedy Central's Workaholics and two seasons in Hulu's Woke. Maduegbunam recurred on BET+'s All the Queen's Men and BET's Sistas. Turner recurred on Starz's Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
- Townsend will play Norm Stinson, an excellent (and grouchy) veteran basketball coach who knows how to get the best out of his teams, but not always how to communicate.
- Marino will play Al Fleischman, the self-appointed "toilet king of Orange County" who wants better courtside seats to the Los Angeles Waves.
- Dewey will play Magnus, the general manager of the Toronto Trappers.
- Moorjani will play Aruna, the Los Angeles Waves' incredibly blunt star accountant who can finagle her way around any number of financial hurdles.
- Picking will play Tommy White, the Los Angeles Waves' new pretty-boy star point guard.
- Anderson will play Leroy, Cam's (Justin Theroux) wild, sober companion.
- Maduegbunam will play Benson, the newest basketball player on the Los Angeles Waves.
- Turner will play Zoé Debay, a beautiful and confident former child star who's now on the verge of becoming an A-list actress.
