HBO has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original anthology drama series It: Welcome to Derry starring Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo and Chris Chalk.
The nine-episode first season will launch on Sunday, October 26.
Set in the world of Stephen King's It universe, the series expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films.
In addition to Paige, Adepo and Chalk, the drama stars James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Clown.
Recurring guest stars include Morningstar Angeline, Alixandra Fuchs, Dorian Grey, BJ Harrison, Shane Marriott, Thomas Mitchell, Kimberly Norris Guerrero, Joshua Odjick, Peter Outerbridge, Chad Rook, Tyner Rushing, and Dean Yool.
Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs developed the series. Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane are co-showrunners on the first season, with Andy Muschietti also directing. All four executive produce with Skarsgård, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Warner Bros. Television, Double Dream and FiveTen Productions produce.
