Prime Video Picks Up Drama 'Bishop' Starring Joel Kinnaman

Prime Video has today given a series order to the original drama series Bishop starring Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, For All Mankind). An episode count and premiere date window were not immediately announced.

Brilliant, battle-scarred homicide detective Bishop Graves (Kinnaman) will put all of his skills to the test in the hunt for an elusive killer targeting San Francisco's moneyed class. As this increasingly audacious killer develops a devoted following among the city's powerless, Bishop becomes convinced these murders connect back to the city's most powerful man, his own father, Lincoln Graves.

Little Marvin (Them) and Tony Saltzman (Dexter: Resurrection) created the drama. They will executive produce with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon. Amazon MGM Studios and Vertigo Entertainment will produce.

"Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman have created a truly electric crime drama," said Nick Pepper, Head of US SVOD TV and Development Series, Amazon MGM Studios. "We are thrilled to see Joel Kinnaman bring the titular Detective Bishop Graves to life. Paired with our outstanding collaborators Roy Lee and Miri Yoon from Vertigo, Bishop is poised to captivate and surprise our global Prime Video customers."
