Prime Video Orders Follow-Up Film to 'The Summer I Turned Pretty'

Earlier today, Prime Video released the series finale of its original drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Later, the streamer revealed that the story will continue with a feature film follow-up written and directed by Jenny Han.





Story details about the film are currently under wraps. The news was announced this evening at the series finale red carpet celebration in Paris, France.

Based on the trilogy of novels by Han, the drama stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Colin Ferguson, Tom Everett Scott, Rain Spencer, Isabella Briggs and Kristen Connolly.

Han and Sarah Kucserka were co-showrunners on the third season. They executive produce with Karen Rosenfelt, Paul Lee, Hope Hartman and Mads Hansen. Amazon MGM Studios and wiip produce.
