HBO has today announced the premiere date for its next original Game of Thrones prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The six-episode first season of the half-hour drama will debut on Sunday, January 18 at 10/9c.
A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros... a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Suncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
The drama stars Peter Claffey, Dexter Sol Ansell, Daniel Ings, Bertie Carvel, Danny Webb, Sam Spruell, Shaun Thomas, Finn Bennett, Edward Ashley, Tanzyn Crawford, Henry Ashton, Youssef Kerkour, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Daniel Monks.
George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker created the drama. They executive produce with Sarah Bradshaw, Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis and director Owen Harris.
