FOX's BEST MEDICINE
- Martin Clunes has joined the cast of the upcoming dramedy starring Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra and Annie Potts. He previously starred for all ten seasons of ITV's Doc Martin - which serves as the basis for the U.S. remake with Charles' lead role being based on the character Clunes portrayed.
- He will play Dr. Robert Best, Martin's (Charles) father, an accomplished, headstrong gastroenterologist whose abrasive demeanor makes Martin look practically cozy by comparison. Estranged from his sister Sarah (Potts), Robert's surprise visit to Port Wenn puts everyone on edge. But underneath his snobby, stone-cold exterior, he's hiding a few secrets of his own that could turn Martin's new life upside down and force him to confront his past.
MGM+'s AMERICAN HOSTAGE
- Kat Cunning has landed a recurring role on the upcoming anthology drama starring Jon Hamm and Giovanni Ribisi. They previously recurred on HBO's The Deuce, Netflix's Trinkets and HBO Max's Rap Sh!t.
- She will play Ibby Hall, the cosmopolitan and beautiful wife of Dick Hall (Kristoffer Polaha). Stuck in Indianapolis through a weird twist of fate, Ibby finds herself the center of attention that she neither desires nor wants to bow to when her husband is taken hostage and disparaged in front of the world.
