CBS' MATLOCK
- Series regular David Del Rio has been fired from the drama during production of its second season. He was reportedly escorted off the set the same day an investigation into a sexual assault allegation began. The alleged incident was said to have occurred on September 26 and involved fellow series regular Leah Lewis.
- He played Billy Martinez, a first-year associate at Jacobson Moore. The character will be written out of the drama, with scripts for the remainder of the season currently being rewritten.
HBO MAX's HACKS
- Christopher Briney has joined the cast of the comedy's upcoming fifth season. He previously starred for three seasons in Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty and will reprise his role in the upcoming feature film follow-up.
- No details were immediately announced about the character he will be playing.
ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY
- Trevor Jackson has been promoted to series regular on the drama's 22nd season. Furthermore, Jade Pettyjohn and Anita Kalathara have been cast in recurring roles. Jackson previously appeared as a guest star in the final two seasons from Season 21. Pettyjohn starred in the first season of ABC's Big Sky and in the Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere. Kalathara recurred on HBO Max's Doom Patrol and guest starred on NBC's Quantum Leap.
- Jackson plays Wes Bryant, a handsome, intelligent, but arrogant new medical intern at Grey Sloan.
- Pettyjohn will play Dani, another new medical intern. Overeager yet terrified with a good sense of humor, she's hoping to make her first day at the hospital one she will remember.
- Kalathara will play Kavita, a brilliant and attractive female plastic surgeon who is professional and straight to the point.
APPLE TV+'s WILD THINGS
- Brett Gelman and Jessica Madsen will co-star on the upcoming limited series starring Jude Law and Andrew Garfield. Gelman currently stars in Netflix's Stranger Things, which returns for its fifth and final season later this year. Madsen previously starred in the third season of Netflix's Bridgerton.
- Gelman will play Bernie Yuman, Siegfried (Law) and Roy's (Garfield) longtime manager.
- Madsen will play Lynette Chappell, a longtime friend and onstage collaborator of the duo's, appearing in their act as the "Evil Queen."
