Netflix has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original limited series His & Hers starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal.
All six episodes of the limited series will be available on Thursday, January 8.
Set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, Anna (Thompson) lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor. But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega - the sleepy town where she grew up - Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal) is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: his and hers, which means someone is always lying.
In addition to Thompson and Bernthal, the series stars Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland and Poppy Liu.
Bill Dubuque developed the series based on the novel by Alice Feeney. Dee Johnson and William Oldroyd serve as co-showrunners, with Oldroyd also directing. The creator and showrunners executive produce with Thompson, Kristen Campo, Jessica Chastain, Kelly Carmichael and Kishori Rajan. Fifth Season, Campout Productions, Freckle Films and Viva Maude produce.
