ABC's Shifting Gears; Apple TV's Bad Monkey; CBS' Elsbeth; Disney+'s Vision; HBO's Dune: Prophecy; Hulu's Untitled NFL Drama; and Prime Video's Bloodaxe.




HBO's DUNE: PROPHECY
  • Production has begun today on the drama's eight-episode second season. New additions to the cast include Indira Varma, Ashley Walters and Tom Hollander. No details were revealed about their characters though. Varma previously starred for three seasons in HBO's Game of Thrones, two seasons in ABC's For Life and in the Disney+ limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Walters starred in the Netflix limited series Adolescence, receiving an Emmy Award nomination for his supporting role. Hollander starred in the FX limited series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, also earning an Emmy Award nomination for his performance.
  • Returning cast members include Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, Yerin Ha, Barbara Marten and Tessa Bonham Jones.
HULU's UNTITLED NFL DRAMA
  • Michael McGrady has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Christopher Meloni, William H. Macy and Mandy Moore. He previously starred for two seasons in Freeform's Beyond. He also recurred on Showtime's Ray Donovan, Hulu's Chance and CBS' SEAL Team.
  • McGrady will play a defensive coordinator.
PRIME VIDEO's BLOODAXE
  • Arthur McBain has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Xavier Molyneux and Jessica Madsen. He previously recurred on ITV's After the Flood and guest starred on AMC's Interview With the Vampire
  • He will play Sigrod, one of the many brothers of Erik Bloodaxe (Molyneux).
DISNEY+'s VISION
  • Lauren Morais and Diane Morgan have joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel drama starring Paul Bettany. Morais previously recurred on Alibi's The Red King and Paramount+'s The Crow Girl. Morgan starred for three seasons in BBC Two's Weekly Wipe, three seasons in BBC Two's Motherland and three seasons in Netflix's After Life.
  • Morais will play Lisa Molinari, who is closely connected to Thomas Shepherd (Ruaridh Mollica).
  • Morgan will play an associate of Paladin (Todd Stashwick).
APPLE TV's BAD MONKEY
  • Brent Morin, Peter Billingsley and June Diane Raphael have booked recurring roles on the dramedy's upcoming second season. Morin previously starred for three seasons in NBC's Undateable and in Netflix's one-season comedy Merry Happy Whatever. Billingsley starred in the Christmas Story film franchise. Raphael starred for seven seasons in Netflix's Grace and Frankie and recently recurred on ABC's 9-1-1.
  • No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing.
ABC's SHIFTING GEARS
  • Jesse Williams is set for a recurring role on the comedy's second season. He previously starred for 12 seasons in ABC's Grey's Anatomy and recurred on Hulu's Only Murders in the Building.
  • He will play Andy, a single dad who frequents Riley's (Kat Dennings) coffee cart and has eyes for Riley too.
CBS' ELSBETH
  • Steve Buscemi, Hamish Linklater and Jeff Hiller will guest star on upcoming episodes of the drama's third season. Buscemi previously starred for five seasons in HBO's Boardwalk Empire and four seasons in TBS' Miracle Workers. Linklater starred for two seasons in FX's Legion, in the Netflix limited series Midnight Mass and in the Apple TV limited series Manhunt. Hiller starred for three seasons in HBO's Somebody Somewhere, winning an Emmy Award for his performance earlier this year.
  • Buscemi will play Simon, a five-time crossword champion and this year's favorite to win again. An obsessive perfectionist, he winds up in a deadly battle with the puzzle's longtime editor over pop culture clues and a certain female contestant.
  • Linklater will play Archer Bryant, a tech-entrepreneur turned fitness freak with a quest to live forever. That requires a strict diet, exercise, pharmaceutical, sleep regimen and possibly murder.
  • Hill will play Felix, one of New York's big wigs, the top wigmakers in the city. Consigned to creating toupees for Wall Street execs and medical patients, he dreams of more glamorous assignments. When his ambition leads to some very bad decisions, one of his rivals ends up dead.
