Season 2 of 'The Night Manager' Lands Premiere Date on Prime Video

Prime Video has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series The Night Manager.

The six-episode second season will debut on Sunday, January 11 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Sunday until the season finale on February 1.

Jonathan Pine thought he'd buried his past. Now living as Alex Goodwin - a low-level MI6 officer running a quiet surveillance unit in London - his life is comfortingly uneventful. Then one night, a chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action and leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos.

On this perilous new journey, Pine meets Roxana Bolaños, a businesswoman who reluctantly helps him infiltrate Teddy's Colombian arms operation. Once in Colombia, Pine is plunged deep into a deadly plot involving arms and training of a guerrilla army. As allegiances splinter, Pine races to expose a conspiracy designed to destabilize a nation. And with betrayal at every turn, he must decide whose trust he needs to earn and how far he's willing to go before it's too late.

Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Colman reprise their roles from the first season as Jonathan Pine and Angela Burr, respectively. Also returning are Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone and Noah Jupe.

They are joined by new cast members Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires.

David Farr serves as showrunner on the second season, with Georgi Banks-Davies directing every episode. They executive produce with Hiddleston, Stephen Garrett, Stephen Cornwell, Simon Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, Tessa Inkelaar, Joe Tsai, Arthur Wang, Adrián Guerra, Hugh Laurie, William D. Johnson, Nick Cornwell, Susanne Bier, Chris Rice and Gaynor Holmes. Fifth Season, The Ink Factory, Character 7, Demarest Films, 127 Wall and Nostromo Pictures produce.
