ABC's Shifting Gears; CBS' Elsbeth; NBC's The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins; Netflix's A Different World; and Peacock's Dig.
NETFLIX's A DIFFERENT WORLD
- Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer and Darryl M. Bell will reprise their roles from the NBC sitcom in the upcoming sequel as recurring guest stars. Guy, Hardison and Bell starred for all six seasons of the former series. Summer joined the comedy in its second season and stayed until the series finale.
- Hardison and Guy play Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, respectively. They are the parents of Deborah Wayne (Maleah Joi Moon), the lead of the new series.
- Summer plays Freddie Brooks. Bell plays Ron Johnson.
PEACOCK's DIG
- Fina Strazza is set as a series regular on the upcoming comedy starring Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie. She was nominated for a Tony Award earlier this year for her featured role in the play John Proctor Is the Villain.
- She will play Patty, Neville's (Laurie) undergraduate assistant. She is in way over her head and the dig represents the first time she has ever been outside of the United States.
NBC's THE FALL AND RISE OF REGGIE DINKINS
- Heidi Gardner, Anna Camp, Ronny Chieng and Corbin Bernsen have landed recurring roles on the upcoming comedy starring Tracy Morgan. Gardner previously starred for eight seasons in NBC's Saturday Night Live. Camp starred in the Pitch Perfect film franchise and in the fifth season of Netflix's You. Chieng has been a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show since October 2015 and is among its current rotating hosts. Bernsen starred for eight seasons in NBC's L.A. Law and eight seasons in USA's Psych.
- Gardner will play Tisha Basmati, the glamorous passive-aggressive wife of Reggie's (Morgan) long-time rival, who hates Reggie's ex-wife/current business manager Monica (Erika Alexander) just as much as her husband hates Reggie.
- Camp will play Narcissa Ocean, Arthur's (Daniel Radcliffe) wild ex who he blames for his career implosion.
- Chieng will play Barry, a slick, aggressive, powerful sports agent who tries to poach Monica for his own company and force her to drop Reggie as a client.
- Bernsen will play Duck Donovan, Reggie's former NFL coach who blames Reggie for his own life falling on hard times post-scandal. Duck goes everywhere with his emotional support cat, Namath.
CBS' ELSBETH
- J. Smith-Cameron will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's third season. She previously starred for four seasons in HBO's Succession, receiving two Emmy Award nominations for her performances. She recently starred in the Hulu limited series Murdaugh: Death in the Family.
- She will play Izzy, the director of New York's most prestigious debutante ball. When the father of a current deb turns out to be the man who humiliated Izzy at her own introduction to society, this Queen Bee of Manhattan society takes her meticulously planned revenge.
ABC's SHIFTING GEARS
- Angela Kinsey will guest star on an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season. She previously starred for nine seasons in NBC's The Office. She also recurred on ABC's Fresh Off the Boat, TBS' Miracle Workers, Netflix's Never Have I Ever and FX's Better Things.
- She will play Lynn, a woman Matt (Tim Allen) meets via a traditional values dating app called TradSwipe. Matt and Lynn immediately hit it off and have a lot in common, but it's clear that something is amiss.
