Peacock Sets Premiere Date for New Comedy 'The Burbs' Starring Keke Palmer

Peacock has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series The Burbs starring Keke Palmer.

All eight episodes of the first season will be available on Sunday, February 8.

Inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, the series follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband's childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, brining old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.

In addition to Palmer, the comedy stars Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch and Kapil Talwalkar.

Celeste Hughey developed the series. She executive produces with Palmer, Rachel Shukert, Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, Aimee Carlson, Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, Natalie Berkus and director Nzingha Stewart. Universal Content Productions, Fuzzy Door Productions and Imagine Entertainment produce.
