- Ebony Obsidian and Novi Brown will not return as series regulars for the drama's upcoming tenth season. Both stars have been with the series since its launch in 2019 as two of the four co-leads. Obsidian played hair salon owner Karen Mott while Brown portrayed bank supervisor Sabrina Hollins. It's currently unclear if either actor will appear at all in Season 10 to wrap up storylines for their characters.
- However, Jordan Coleman (All American: Homecoming) and Tunde Oyeneyin (Life & Beth) have been cast as new series regulars for the upcoming tenth season. They will join returning cast members KJ Smith, Mignon Von, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Angela Beyince, DeVale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Chris Warren, and Monti Washington.
- Coleman will play Cheyenne Barnes, a fiercely confident hairstylist whose bold sexuality and razor-sharp wit command attention, masking the emotional scars she's carried for years. Though driven by a desire for luxury and ease, her reunion with her sister Andi (Smith) slowly peels back layers of guarded vulnerability she's long tried to bury.
- Oyeneyin will play Madison Truitt, a powerful, self-assured entrepreneur whose commanding presence and unapologetic ambition have carved her a space in a male-dominated world. Beneath her polished exterior lies a yearning for love and partnership - one that matches her strength, despite whispers that her standards are too high.
NBC's BRILLIANT MINDS
- Nava Mau and Malia Pyles will guest star in upcoming episodes of the drama's second season. Mau previously starred in the Netflix limited series Baby Reindeer, receiving an Emmy Award nomination for her performance. Pyles starred for two seasons in HBO Max's Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
- Mau will play Denise, who is found collapsed after a night at the club. Her air of mystery is punctured when the team discovers what exactly this party girl is running from.
- Pyles will play Nora Sutton, a mechanical engineering student by day who hangs with her Theta Epsilon Phi sisters by night. She's not your typical sorority girl in any sense. While Nora loves her tight-knit circle of sorority sisters, her truest partner-in-crime is her nerdy older sister.
