During the drama's second season premiere event this evening in Los Angeles, HBO Max revealed that its original drama series The Pitt has been renewed for a third season.
Today's renewal also comes ahead of the drama's second season premiere tomorrow January 8 at 9/8c. on the streamer. Like the first season, new episodes of the 15-episode second season will be released weekly every Thursday. The season finale will arrive on April 16.
In its second season, the drama stars Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Sepideh Moafi.
R. Scott Gemmill created the drama. He executive produces with Wyle, John Wells, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow, and Simran Baidwan. Warner Bros. Television, John Wells Productions and R. Scott Gemmill Productions produce.
The drama received 13 Emmy Award nominations for its first season. It won five - including for Outstanding Drama Series. Wyle, LaNasa and recurring guest star Shawn Hatosy picked up trophies for their performances.
