Netflix Cancels 'The Abandons' and 'The Vince Staples Show'

Netflix has today decided to cancel its original drama series The Abandons after one season and its original comedy series The Vince Staples Show after two seasons.






The Abandons starred Lena Headey, Gillian Anderson, Nick Robinson, Diana Silvers, Aisling Franciosi, Lucas Till, Lamar Johnson and Natalia del Riego.

Kurt Sutter created the drama. He executive produces with Christopher Keyser, Jon Paré, Otto Bathurst, Stephen Surjik, Robert Askins and Emmy Grinwis. Sutter Ink produced.

All seven episodes of the first and only season were released on December 4, 2025.

The Vince Staples Show was created by and starred Vince Staples.

Staples co-created the series with Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams. They executive produced with Kenya Barris, Corey Smyth, William Stefan Smith, Andrea Sperling and Leonard Chang. Khalabo Ink Society, Section Eight Arthouse and Edelgang Worldwide produced.

The five-episode first season was released on February 15, 2024. That was followed by the six-episode second season on November 6, 2025.
