Season 2 of 'Sugar' Receives Premiere Date on Apple TV

Apple TV has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Sugar.

The eight-episode second season will debut on Friday, June 19 with its first episode. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on August 7.

The new season ushers in the return of Los Angeles' iconic private detective and film connoisseur, John Sugar. He returns for a new case, tracking the troubled older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer as his search for his beloved missing sister continues. As the investigation expands into a citywide conspiracy with sinister intentions, Sugar must reckon with himself to answer the question - how far will he go to do what's right?

Colin Farrell returns as John Sugar. He will be joined by new cast members Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle and Shea Whigham.

Mark Protosevich created the drama, with Sam Catlin serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Farrell, Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich. Apple Studios, Short Drive Entertainment and Genre Films produce.
