Casting News - February 17, 2026

Apple TV's Stick; CBS' Ghosts; FOX's Baywatch; and Netflix's Scooby-Doo.

NETFLIX's SCOOBY-DOO
  • Mckenna Grace has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming live-action series adaptation of the animated franchise. She starred in the films Gifted, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Regretting You and Five Nights at Freddy's 2. She also starred in the Peacock limited series A Friend of the Family and recurred on Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale and CBS' Young Sheldon.
  • During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne (Grace) get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie Velma and the strange but ever so handsome new kid Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.
FOX's BAYWATCH
  • David Chokachi will reprise his role from the syndicated drama in the upcoming reboot starring Stephen Amell. He previously starred for four seasons of the original series. He becomes the first cast member from the original series to return for the reboot.
  • He will recur as Cody Madison, who now runs The Shoreline, the unofficially official Baywatch bar-and-grill. He still puts on the red trunks for the occasional shift saving lives. He's a mentor to and a friend, providing a second home for his fellow lifeguards... and always offering free wings after a big save.
APPLE TV's STICK
  • Timothy Olyphant and Judy Greer have been promoted to series regulars for the comedy's upcoming second season. Both appeared as recurring guest stars on the first season. Olyphant currently stars in FX's Alien: Earth, which has been renewed for a second season. Greer stars in the second season of Apple TV's The Last Thing He Told Me, which premieres this Friday.
  • Olyphant plays Clark Ross, Pryce's (Owen Wilson) rival and former partner.
  • Greer plays Amber-Linn, Pryce's ex-wife.
CBS' GHOSTS
  • John Michael Higgins and Jeff Hiller will appear as guest stars on the comedy's fifth season. Higgins previously starred for two seasons in NBC's Great News and two seasons in Peacock's Saved by the Bell. Hiller starred for three seasons in HBO's Somebody Somewhere, winning an Emmy Award last year for his performance.
  • Higgins will play Paul, a high-status, well-mannered representative from a prestigious list of small luxury hotels who comes to Woodstone to see if it deserves a place on their elite list.
  • Hiller will play Jeff, a server extraordinaire. A little sensitive to criticism, a little intense, he has worked at some of the finest fine dining establishments around. His skill set and resume are impeccable. A natural empath, he anticipates a guest's needs like no one else.
