Apple TV's Berlin Noir; FX's Cry Wolf; Netflix's Trinity & Untamed; Prime Video's God of War; and Starz's Power: Origins.
APPLE TV's BERLIN NOIR
- Colin Firth will co-star opposite Jack Lowden in the upcoming drama based on the novels by Philip Kerr. He won an Academy Award in 2011 for his lead performance in the film The King's Speech. He previously starred in the HBO Max limited series The Staircase and will next star in Prime Video's upcoming drama Young Sherlock, which premieres next month.
- He will play Paul Lohser, a brilliant but prickly murder detective with the Berlin Police. Meticulous, anti-social and well-educated, he's everything Bernie (Lowden) isn't. And as his partner and unlikely mentor, Lohser is Bernie's best and only hope of catching the killer.
NETFLIX's UNTAMED
- Kelly Hu and Shea Whigham have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season. Hu previously starred for two seasons in Starz's BMF and recurred on The CW's Arrow. Whigham starred for five seasons in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, two seasons in HBO's Vice Principals, two seasons in HBO's Perry Mason, in the Starz limited series Gaslit, and in the Netflix limited series Death by Lightning.
- Hu will play Awapuhi, born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii who has spent the last few years in Oahu fighting her own inner battles. After the death of her son, she returns to the Big Island to face the demons she left behind.
- Whigham will play Ray Burkart, who moved from California to the Big Island of Hawaii 30 years ago, and has a hand in various businesses, some more legal than others. After suffering the tragic loss of his son, he clashes with Turner (Eric Bana) in their search for his son's killer.
STARZ's POWER: ORIGINS
- Dominic Rains has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming Power prequel starring Spence Moore II and Charlie Mann. He previously starred for five seasons in NBC's Chicago Med and recurred on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
- He will play Detective Fred Drexel. After a controversial incident within the NYPD, he is tasked with navigating an intense investigation. As is common with cases like this, things can and will get messy.
NETFLIX's TRINITY
- Anthony Konechny and Jason Fernandes have booked recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard Madden. Konechny previously recurred on The CW's Supergirl and TNT's Animal Kingdom. Fernandes recurred on Freeform's Cruel Summer and recently guest starred on FOX's Memory of a Killer.
- Konechny will play Pete Rafferty, an Electronic Warfare Technician in the U.S. Navy.
- Fernandes will play Ramon Gonzalez, a Communications Officer in the U.S. Navy.
FX's CRY WOLF
- Dane DeHaan, Atticus Mitchell, Ayo Solanke and Elizabeth Perkins have landed recurring roles on the upcoming limited series starring Olivia Colman, Brie Larson and Shawn Hatosy. DeHaan previously starred in the limited series Lisey's Story on Apple TV, The Staircase on HBO Max, and American Primeval on Netflix. Mitchell starred for three seasons in Hulu's The Hardy Boys and recurred on Syfy's Killjoys. Solanke currently stars in Netflix's Bet, which has been renewed for a second season. Perkins starred for five seasons in Showtime's Weeds, two seasons in FOX's The Moodys, and the second season of Apple TV's The Afterparty.
- Mitchell will play Nick, who is rough around the edges with a good heart. After a difficult childhood raised by his single mother, Kath (Colman), he fell into severe alcoholism but has now been sober for 11 months. Determined to rebuild his life, he's trying to reconnect with his son, Elliot, after years of being unable to handle the responsibilities of fatherhood. Now that he's sober, Nick is doing everything he can to prove himself to Kath and regain custody of Elliot - but she refuses to believe he's truly changed.
- No details were immediately announced about the characters DeHaan, Solanke and Perkins will be playing.
PRIME VIDEO's GOD OF WAR
- Callum Vinson is set as a series regular on the upcoming drama starring Ryan Hurst and Mandy Patinkin. He previously starred in the Peacock limited series Long Bright River and recurred on Syfy's Chucky.
- He will play Atreus, the 10-year-old son of Kratos (Hurst). He grew up in a remote forest cabin, isolated from the rest of the world and raised almost entirely by his mother Faye. He is an accomplished archer, has an affinity for animals and is intensely curious about what lies beyond the confines of his forest home. After his mother's death, Atreus is left with a cold, distant father who he barely knows and who knows little about him in return. Nonetheless, Atreus yearns for his father's approval and is desperate to prove he is strong enough to survive in a harsh and dangerous world.
