ABC has today renewed its original drama series Grey's Anatomy for its 23rd season. The drama will return as part of the broadcast network's upcoming 2026-27 schedule.
In its 22nd season, the drama stars Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Jason George, Kim Raver, Chris Carmack, Anthony Hill, Alexis Floyd, Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane, Niko Terho and Trevor Jackson.
Last week, it was announced that McKidd and Raver would depart as series regulars during the upcoming Season 22 finale.
Shonda Rhimes created the drama, with Meg Marinis serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Pompeo, Betsy Beers and director Debbie Allen. 20th Television and Shondaland produce.
An official episode count was not announced today by ABC. However, it's expected to be in line with the 18 episodes produced for the last two seasons.
