Netflix has today given a series order to the original drama series Where There's Smoke created by Tyler Perry (Beauty in Black). Production on the 16-episode first season will begin shortly in Atlanta, Georgia.
The drama will follow the lives of a group of firefighters as they navigate the intense challenges of their high-stakes profession while grappling with personal struggles, fractured relationships, and the emotional toll of saving lives in a world filled with danger, drama and heartbreak.
The drama will star Tyler Lepley, Mike Merrill, Da'Vinchi, Eltony Williams, Brock O'Hurn, Joe Hunter, Karen Obilom, Brittany S. Hall, Mariah Goodie, Jordan Rodriguez and Judi Moon.
Perry will write and direct the drama. He will also executive produce with Angi Bones and Tony Strickland. Tyler Perry Studios will produce in association with Netflix.
