Netflix Renews 'Little House on the Prairie' for Season 2

Netflix has today renewed its original drama series Little House on the Prairie for a second season. Moreover, the streamer has announced the premiere date for the upcoming first season.






All eight episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, July 9.

A hopeful family drama, epic survival tale, and origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of the series of novels by Laura Ingalls Wilder offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.

The drama stars Alice Halsey, Skywalker Hughes, Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald.

Recurring guest stars include Jocko Sims, Warren Christie, Wren Zhawenim Gotts, Meegwun Fairbrother, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Xander Cole, Ryan Robbins, Barrett Doss, Mary Holland, Michael Hough, Kowen Cadorath, Thosh Collins, Maclean Fish and Rebecca Amzallag.

Rebecca Sonnenshine developed the drama. She executive produces with Joy Gorman Wettels, Trip Friendly, Dana Fox and Susanna Fogel. CBS Studios, Anonymous Content, Joy Coalition and Friendly Family Productions produce.
