Hannah and Owen take their search for answers abroad while Bailey makes a shocking discovery about her mother.
"The Prosecutor" was written by Tom Smuts and directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer
Quinn established a reputation of hating her family and their business. She built a legitimate career for herself. Yet when Teddy fears he's lost his shipment of millions of dollars, he calls his sister. It's an incredibly telling moment for Hannah and Owen. It reveals Quinn is just as involved as the rest of her family. Everything she's said should be taken with a grain of salt. Bailey has built a connection with Quinn. She could provide insight into Kate. The more Bailey learns the more likely it becomes that her mother was killed by the Campanos. Owen may have been right all along. Nicholas refused to believe his best friend would target his family. He could only survive his daughter's death by believing it was a tragic accident. He was blind to the truth. He can no longer behave that way. Bailey and Charlie force him to accept reality. Teddy could be the volatile actor responsible for everything. That may be too neat of a resolution. He could receive blame for everything that has plagued this family for decades. That would be robbing others of the accountability they must face as well. All of this is building to a final confrontation in Paris. That was originally established as an acceptable location for Quinn to celebrate her father's birthday. Quinn and Teddy are largely exasperated whenever they have to deal with their father. He remains a power broker. He demands to know what's going on. His life is just as dysfunctional. He must reckon with that chaos too.

Owen insists he was able to have a simple life with Hannah. She sees that as impossible given everything she knows now. The entire time they were together he was looking over his shoulder. These threats could have appeared at any moment. His life was full of danger. She wasn't aware of that. Now, they are falling in love again because the truth has been revealed. Hannah couldn't move on during the five years of relative safety. She always wondered if Owen would return home. She was oblivious to what that would require a little bit. She was also prepared to grab Bailey and go on the run again. This wasn't unusual for her. She panics over how she left things with Bailey. Her daughter didn't agree with this crazy plan in Marseille. It somehow works. Hannah and Owen find creative solutions for every obstacle that comes their way. They are both required to improvise. They are caught when they impersonate Teddy. They still manage to escape with enough time for Owen to plant all the technology to gather more information. It's impressive. It allows for Hannah and Owen to get reacquainted sexually too. She's still mad at him. That doesn't overpower the rest of her feelings. This is what she wants. It finally became possible. She navigates herself well abroad. She must also trust what Bailey and Nicholas have planned. None of these characters are fully in control of their own destinies. They have to rely on their loved ones who have conflicted motives throughout this mess. That's easy in some instances and painfully hard in others.
