AMC's Dark Winds; FOX's Best Medicine; HBO's The Last of Us; Hulu's Only Murders in the Building; and Prime Video's Mr. & Mrs. Smith.





HULU's ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING
  • Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi and Lesley Nicol have landed recurring roles on the comedy's upcoming sixth season. No details were immediately announced about their characters. The new season will see the story travel abroad to London.
  • Freeman previously starred for four seasons in BBC One's Sherlock, in the first season of FX's Fargo, and four seasons in Sky One's Breeders. Halliwell-Horner is a singer-songwriter who rose to fame as a member of Spice Girls. Demetriou starred in the first season of Apple TV's The Afterparty and appears in the film The Moment. Vasan starred for two seasons in Peacock's We Are Lady Parts and was cast yesterday in MGM+'s upcoming drama Legacy of Spies. Horrocks starred for five seasons in BBC One's Absolutely Fabulous and seven seasons in Sky One's Trollied. Jacobi starred for five seasons in BBC One's Last Tango in Halifax and two seasons in ITV's Vicious. Nicol starred for six seasons in ITV's Downton Abbey and all three of its feature film follow-ups.
FOX's BEST MEDICINE
  • Stephen Spinella and Jason Veasey have been promoted to series regulars on the dramedy's upcoming second season. Both heavily recurred on the first season - appearing in all 13 episodes. 
  • Spinella and Veasey plays husbands Greg Garrison and George Brady, respectively, co-proprietors of Port Wenn's favorite eatery, The Salty Breeze. After escaping their chaotic New York City life 18 years ago, Greg and George moved to Port Wenn, Maine, where they know all the really good gossip, dabble in local real estate, and claim the distinction of having the best lobster rolls in all of Southeast Maine six years in a row.
PRIME VIDEO's MR. & MRS. SMITH
  • Levon Hawke has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season. The son of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, he previously recurred on the Apple TV limited series The Crowded Room and appeared in the film Marty Supreme.
  • No details were immediately announced about the character he will be playing.
AMC's DARK WINDS
  • John Hoogenakker is set as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming fifth season. Meanwhile, Gregory Cruz will appear in a recurring role. Hoogenakker previously starred for two seasons in Prime Video's Jack Ryan and in the Hulu limited series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. Cruz recurred on FX's Mayans M.C., Showtime's Dexter: New Blood and ABC's Station 19.
  • Hoogenakker will play Sheriff Mark Bishop, Gordo Sena's (A Martinez) younger, more button-downed successor at the Scarborough County Sheriff's Department. He allows Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) to join his investigation into Sena's murder and quickly wades into jurisdictional conflicts with Leaphorn and his officers over who's in charge.
  • Cruz will play Ed Manuelito, Bernadette Manuelito's (Jessica Matten) biological father. A World War II vet suffering PTSD upon his return from the war, he abandoned Bern after her mother's untimely death, depositing her at boarding school. He attempts to come back into his daughter's life fifteen years later, a better man after finding community and support through sobriety and church.
HBO's THE LAST OF US
  • Peter Sarsgaard has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. He previously received Emmy Award nominations for his performances in the Hulu limited series Dopesick and in the first season of Apple TV's Presumed Innocent. He recently recurred on HBO's DTF St. Louis and will next be seen in Apple TV's upcoming drama Neuromancer.
  • He will play Amon, one of the leaders of The Seraphites.
