NBC has today decided to cancel its original drama series The Hunting Party after two seasons. The drama completed its 23-episode run on May 7, 2026.
The drama starred Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie and Sara Garcia.
JJ Bailey created the drama. He executive produced with Keto Shimizu, Jake Coburn, Michael Jones-Morales and Thor Freudenthal. Universal Television, Jake Coburn Productions and All J Entertainment produced.
Universal Television is expected to shop the show to other outlets. While the drama's linear ratings weren't impressive, the show had a solid debut on Netflix when the first season began streaming in February 2026 while the second season was on the air. That didn't improve the live ratings. However, it made the decision on whether or not to renew at NBC more intriguing.
