- LaRoyce Hawkins will depart the cast of the drama early in its upcoming 14th season. He is one of four original series regulars left on the veteran police procedural from when it debuted in 2014 - alongside Jason Beghe, Patrick John Flueger and Marina Squerciati. He will return to wrap up his character's storyline in the first two or three episodes of the new season. As such, the drama is reportedly casting a new series regular to join the ensemble.
- He plays Kevin Atwater, a former uniformed police officer partnered with Kim Burgess (Squerciati) until both were eventually promoted to the Intelligence Unit. The 13th season saw Atwater reconnect with an old friend, Officer Tasha Fox (Karen Obilom), and things quckly turned romantic. It didn't last long as Tasha left for a job in Miami. Atwater spent the season wrestling with his feelings for his long-distance lover until Tasha reappeared with news she was pregnant with their child.
